Plan a group salon booking without double-booking chairs

“We all want haircuts on Friday after school” sounds like one request. For the salon it means three services, perhaps three professionals, and a choice between simultaneous and consecutive visits.

Clarify the shape of the group

Are the services identical? Must everyone start together, or can they follow one another? Does anyone want a particular professional? Ask first, so you do not offer three individually free times that fail as a group.

Decide who receives confirmations and any payment links. One contact person can organise the visit, but each chair still needs the correct client and service.

Check real capacity

Check duration and professional for each person. For consecutive visits, the full sequence must fit. For simultaneous visits, enough people and chairs must be free at the same time.

Include breaks and existing bookings. If one member cannot fit, do not present the group as confirmed. Offer another time or ask which preference can change.

Confirm each appointment

Show in the calendar who arrives when, for which service and with which professional. Send a summary that lets the contact person check all three details. “You're booked” is too vague.

Also test a change: one friend cancels while the other two still come. The calendar should release only that person's appointment and preserve the rest.
